The scope of this Association is the study and resolution of issues, which in general affect the chemical industries in the following domains:

• Technical, industrial, financial, commercial, social and legal
• Environmental protection
• Hygiene and safety of employees
• Quality assurance
• Statistical research and elaboration of statistical data

The Association cooperates with state-institutions, other scientific and professional organizations, the European Union and International Organizations such as CEFIC. The Association does not constitute a profit-organization and does not deal with trade-business activities either. In addition, neither does the Association participate in collective negotiations nor associates to collective contracts with Labor Unions of the sector.

:: In order to fulfill the aforementioned the Association:

• Conducts researches and studies
• Collects statistics and useful data of the chemical sector
• Submits oral and written proposals to the Public Administration representing the chemical industry
• Participates in internal committees and international fora which address issues and develop positions influencing the chemical industry at national and European level
• Brings forward data, publications of studies and viewpoints of the chemical industry
• Communicates and co-operates with relevant associations in order to exchange views
• Supports the effort of state institutions in matters of environmental protection
• Promotes the principles of Responsible Care in the Hellenic Chemical Industry

The Association employs any other legal mean, not strictly prohibited by its statute.
